About Finding Needle in the Stack
Finding Needle in the Stack is a free 3D game where you dig through a giant haystack, sell what you find, upgrade your tools and hunt for the one needle hidden inside. It runs in your browser on a computer or phone, and there is also an Android app.
Who makes it
The game is made by one person, a student developer who publishes under the name SSGT. It is a one-person project, built in my spare time around my studies. The full story is in Why I made this game.
An independent game
The idea was inspired by a viral clip of a game called Needle In A Haystack Simulator. This game is an independent project and has no connection to that game or to games on other platforms with similar names.
How it is made
The game is written in JavaScript on top of Three.js and runs entirely in your browser, with no server and no account. I use AI tools as part of my work and I am open about it. The rules, the tuning and the design decisions are mine. If you are curious about the technical side, read How the haystack works.
Free, with no pressure
The game is free. The only ads are optional: in Classic mode the Travelling Trader may offer bonus coins if you choose to watch a short video, and nothing interrupts play. Purist mode never shows ads. Your data stays on your device, as described in the privacy policy.
